Oopsie! I’ve done some crazy online shopping the past few weeks. If I look at all the things that I’ve bought, OMG! I actually feel a bit guilty. Just collecting everything for this haul post so I could take pictures… uhm, yea, now I know where all my money went, lol. Luckily that guilty feeling goes away pretty fast though, cause I pretty much love everything that I’ve bought. Hehehe, sometimes I just love splurging on random things. I think everyone needs to do that every once in a while. This is going to be a long post, so let’s just move on to the pictures.
I actually ordered Revlon Scandalous off eBay and a few days later I got the Facets of Fuchsia polish from Suzy. Facets of Fuchsia was limited edition but Revlon added it to their collection permanently since everyone loved it so much. All they did was change the name to Scandalous. I’m actually thinking of giving this away since it’s the exact same thing.
The Essie Luxeffects are quickly becoming my favorite topcoats at this moment. I’m in love with Shine of the Times which is on the right. I pretty much layer it over everything atm.
The other two nailpolishes are from the Limited Edition line of Essence. I love them both and they were only €1,79 each! Read the rest of this entry »
Whenever I am bored I tend to browse various websites to see their new clothing collections. I saw this blouse at Miss Selfridges and I really love it. I do think 35 quid is a little too expensive (as I have been spending way too much money already) so hopefully this will be in the sale soon. But I’m guessing that will take a few more weeks. After this blouse I saw the black shoes and while I’m not sure if I would wear them personally, I do think they are amazing. I’ve been trying to experiment anyway, so might as well add them. Figured I would make a polyvore collage since that was easier, lol.
I might do this more often, just to get inspiration and see what would match. I have so much stuff in my closet and I just don’t know how to match it and I always go for the save route. Throw on a blazer or vest, put on some jeans, sneakers and viola, good to go. And I feel like it can all look a little bland and when I try to put some more thought into it, it might look more put together. So yeah… my new goal for this year I guess

I wish I could tell you that I’m turning 18 in a few weeks, but alas, that’s not going to happen. I will be turning 26! I don’t think I’m the only person in the world that complains when there’s another birthday around the corner. I know in reality, 26 is not old, but it sure does feel like it.
Since my friends & family asked for a wishlist, I decided to do some research on the web since I had no clue on what to ask. Whenever I really want something lately, I decide to just buy it myself. Which is probably why I’m broke most of the time. Hehehe.
Anyway, this is just a list that I made for my friends & family and I decided to post it here.
INNISFREE Juju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask – Suzy once send me Innisfree sheetmasks and I loved them. And earlier today I saw PDXBeautiful‘s last swap video where’s she was raving about Innisfree products, I decided to google and found this clay mask. The reviews are good and since my skin is acting up AGAIN!!! WHEN WILL IT STOP!?!? It seems like whenever I go through periods where my skin is better than ever, a few days later, it’s all gone to hell. I still love my Naruko products but it seems like maybe it’s not working for me. I know this is just a mask, but Innisfree products look really good to me now, but I’ve got a lot of back-ups of Naruko that I need to finish first. So to try it out I figured it was best to start out with a mask.
INNISFREE BB Trouble Care BB Cream – A BB Cream for people with troubled skin a.k.a. perfect bb cream for me. I just ordered this off eBay as a present for myself and I can’t wait till it gets here.
Joico K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructor – I already have the Intense Hydration Treatment from Joico and I love it. This is supposedly the better hairmask.
TIGI Bed Head Urban Anti+Dotes Reconstruction Shampoo+Conditioner – I’m all out on my TIGI hairproducts that I mentioned here and I heard good reviews about this set, so yeah, putting it on my wishlist.
SKINFOOD Parsley and Mandarin Cream – A cream for people with troubled skin. Again, I saw this in PDXBeautiful‘s video and I got curious. From what I’ve tried of Skinfood it seems to work on my skin so hopefully this will work as well.

under movies.
Happy new year everyone! Hope you entered the new year happily and let’s hope 2012 will be more amazing than 2011.
Last year I made a similar post about movies that I wanted to see and after seeing some trailers, I wanted to do the same. Mainly, because I tend to forget what movies are coming out when and which ones I want to see. Making a list and actually remembering to watch them sounds like a good plan. Maybe it’s even a new years resolution? Keeping track of what to do and whatnot? Guess so. And surprisingly, I’ve kept up with my scrapbook last year! GO ME! I always did the same thing on Livejournal but half way through the year, I’d give up. Not this time though and hopefully not this year. I already started with a new one.
Lets move on to my to-watch list shall we.
The Hunger Games (2012) Set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister’s place for the latest match.
I’ve been going crazy about these books ever since I got a hold of them (back in 2010) and I’m so excited for this movie. Not too happy with the cast but hopefully it will be alright.
The Avengers (2012) Nick Fury and the international agency S.H.I.E.L.D. bring together a team of super humans to form The Avengers to help save the Earth from Loki & his various membered army.
I don’t think this needs an explanation. I have to say, most Marvel movies sounds a lot more promising on paper then in reality, but I have seen most Marvel adaptations so I will need to see this one too. Plus it has Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye!
G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2012) When Cobra spy Zartan has most of the Joes assassinated, the remaining Joes band together to strike back.
I don’t care what anyone says, I liked the first one. Plus it has Lee Byung-Hun (one of my favorite Korean actors). I’m a sucker for bad action movies.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) Bilbo Baggins, a Hobbit, journeys to the Lonely Mountain accompanied by a group of dwarves to reclaim a treasure taken from them by the dragon Smaug.
The Hobbit. That’s all I need to say about that.
Other movies that I’m interested in:
I already mentioned him earlier, but I have a thing for bad action movies and Jeremy Renner. So what I’m most excited for is Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011) . I know this was released in 2011, but haven’t seen it yet but I really want to. Plus the Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters movie. The pictures look bad-ass and the story sounds interesting, but there’s always the risk of being a complete fail. Not to mention, three months prior to the release, there’s still no trailer or any promotion whatsoever. Kind of odd.
The new Batman movie comes out this year as well as the new Bourne movie. And guess who’s in it? Jeremy freaking Renner. See a pattern?
I always loved Men in Black and Will Smith’s song is still in my iTunes even after all those years. I am truly excited for the prequel and the trailer looks interesting.
Not a fan of Kirstin Stewart – watching a rock is more fascinating – but I’m curious of how they changed the story of one of my favorite fairytales. The trailer of Snow White and the Huntsman looks borderline cheesy but that’s my kind of thing I guess.
It looks like 2012 will be the year of sequels and prequels. Like I said, I love bad action movies and I truly loved The Expendables, so it’s not surprising that I need to see The Expendables 2 (2012).
I don’t just watch action movies though, I like chickflicks too. When I saw the trailer for The Vow I wanted to see it right away but I guess I have to wait a few more weeks.
Rise of the Guardians (2012) has a fairly interesting concept plus it has Chris Pine. I can’t be the only girl that watches certain movies just to look at the eye-candy, right? But really, the concept sounds interesting which is the main reason why I listed it. Lol.
Can you believe I’ve never really read the classic The Great Gatsby (2012) ? Even when I had to read if for English lit? Or maybe I did read it and completely forgot about it. Not sure, although I do have a copy laying around somewhere. But why should I read the book if there’s a movie coming out?
Are there any movies that you’re looking forward too? Or any recommendations on what I should watch so I can make my challenge of watching 75 movies in a year easier? Let me know!
I never really cared much about expensive shampoos and conditioners. I was more a drugstore girl. Until this year when I hear SLS was “bad” for you and I started looking into more “friendlier” shampoos. Mainly because my hair started to get thinner and I felt like I was loosing a lot of hair lately. Maybe it’s because I always wear my hair up and I only notice the hair loss when I take out my ponytail… Don’t exactly know but it doesn’t hurt to give your hair some extra pampering, right? All in all, this year I started caring more about my hair. I haven’t found all my holy grail products yet, but here are just a few that I really like. Also, I’ve included one body lotion that I love but didn’t think a whole post dedicated to said product was necessary.
TIGI Bed Head Superstar Sulfate-Free Shampoo & Conditioner
Upon my first use I fell in love with this shampoo. The smell is amazing, like bubblegum-amazing. Not as strong as the Aussie shampoos though, but strong enough so that after washing my hair still smells delicious. My hair loves this shampoo. It not only gets my hair clean, but my hair is soft, low frizz, good volume and it doesn’t dry my hair out. The conditioner is pretty good too but honestly, I can never tell if a conditioner works properly or not. It’s just that all the conditioners I use, detangle and defrizz my hair. This conditioner doesn’t weigh my hair down or makes my scalp itchy, so those are good things in my book. Because the last thing you want are products that strips your hair of any volume, especially when you don’t really have any to begin with.
I recently found out that Tigi got rid of these products. They now replaced it with the Styleshots Epic Volume Shampoo. I don’t know if this is the exact same product, but I hope it is cause I need my shampoo!
Oh and that nasty looking blob on the conditioner is just some glue that I didn’t bother to remove.
John Frieda Hair Serum Thermal Protection Formula
Don’t you hate it when hairdresser thin out your hair when you already have fine, brittle and thin hair? My hairdresser did that once and ever since then I’m stuck with really frizzy hair. Especially my bangs. Whenever I would straighten it, my bangs were incredibly frizzy and it almost looked like they were electrified. After using this serum, I feel like I’m not causing as much damage to my hair whenever I do use a straightener or curling wand. This serum makes my hair really smooth, gives it a healthy shine and doesn’t weight my hair down. The only downsides are that when you use a bit too much, your hair can get oily. Also, I find it a bit expensive since you don’t really get all that much product. So I’d suggest to keep an eye out for discounts.
TRESemmé Heat Defence Styling Spray
I bought this in Newcastle and ever since then, I’ve been switching between this one and the John Frieda heat protectant. I have to say though, if I had to choose I would go for this one. Mainly because it’s a lot cheaper and you get a lot more product. This spray leaves my hair looking soft and shiny, doesn’t weigh my hair down or makes it feel “crispy” or sticky, if ya know what I mean. Love it.
Etude House Petit Bijou Cotton Snow Moisture Body Lotion Suzy recommended this product in one of her videos and I just had to order it. Unfortunately you can only find it on Gmarket (I think) but thankfully, the bottle last really long. The Petit Bijou line is originally for babies, but I love sweet, soft fragrances so I had to have this. It moisturizes pretty well and the fragrance lasts the whole day. It has milk protein, Aloe Vera and Chamomile. It dries up quickly and you won’t feel sticky after applying. Which is one reason why I hate using body lotion – I just can’t stand it when my skin feels sticky and greasy and I have to wait before putting my clothes on. This product is also free of parabens, sulfates, soap, dyes and alcohol.
I just noticed RubyRubyShop on eBay is selling this product. YAY! Now I can get a backup.
That’s pretty much it. My goal for 2012 is to find a really good hairmask and maybe a good mousse for volume. I ordered the Joico K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructor Treatment for Damaged Hair – WOW that’s a mouthful! – so hopefully that works. So if you have any tips, let me know!
What are your favourite hair & body products for 2011? Let me know in the comments.
I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas! I sure did. Ate way too much food (like always) but it was lots of fun. <3
I'm currently having a short holiday so finally I have time to dedicate to blogging. I am working on multiple posts right now to show you my favourites of this year. The hot topic for today will be music.
K-Pop
The year 2011 was the year of K-Pop for me. In July I went to SM Town in Paris and in November to JYJ in Berlin. Both trips were with Suzy and I’m so thankful to have met her so I can share my K-Pop craziness with someone. My top 25 most played songs consists of Dalmatian, Big Bang, 2PM, MBLAQ, JYJ and Super Junior. I’ve got almost 8gb of K-Pop on my laptop and every day I’m still discovering artists or groups that I like. It’s crazy how one song (Oh Yeah by MBLAQ) can lead to an addiction. Lol. K-Pop makes me happy and not many other genres can do that. Even though some people look at me weird when I tell them about K-Pop, I honestly don’t care. I love it and that’s all that matters.
When I look at my iTunes top 25 most played songs playlist, the number one is Pumped up Kicks by Foster the People. It’s crazy how much I love that song. I stumbled upon this song back in September, even after I heard it on The Vampire Diaries but somehow it didn’t ‘stick’ with me then. Their album is amazing and they are even better live – although I have to mentioned there are some pretty crappy videos of them on YouTube. In Brussels back in November they rocked the stage and Diana and I were so hyped up on our way back home. The concert made us forget a lot of crap that happened the same day and we ended up going home happy. Yay! Their cd had been blasting through the speakers all the way back while we were trying to sing-a-long. Yep, Foster the People has to be included in my yearly favorites.
Other favourite artists
I only found his music a few weeks ago but I’m seriously in love with his album “+”. I’m talking about Ed Sheeran here. His music reminds me so much of Jason Mraz, another artist whom I love. “Lego House” has to be one of my favourite songs of his album, but honestly, the album as a whole is amazing. There’s not one bad song on there.
Besides that, there aren’t really that many other songs that I truly love. Like? Sure, but not truly love. I do have two guilty pleasure songs though. The first one is by the British boyband One Direction. “What Makes You Beautiful” is such a catchy and fun song to listen to. The other one is Selena Gomez with “Love You Like A Love Song“. Never in a million years did I think I would end up listening to Selena Gomez (or Justin Bieber) but this year was different. I even listened to “Mistletoe” by the Biebs and I didn’t hate it.
And lastly, my favourite Christmas song of the year even though I only found it a day before Christmas. YTF with “Your Kiss”. LOVE IT!
What are your favourite songs of the year 2011? Or songs that you only discovered this year but ended up loving? Let me know in the comments! I’m always on the hunt for new music.
