Since I was a member of a few beautybox subscription I actually got quite a few boxes and who knew that those beautyboxes were pretty handy for storing make-up! I used to have the Skubb boxes from Ikea, but didn’t think they were that handy. At least not for a small collection like I do. Now I can see what I have and whenever I need something, it is a lot easier to grab. Today, my make-up collection looked tidier then usual so I took some pictures. The lightening was really bad though and I only have one window in my room, so I’m sorry if some pictures aren’t as clear. I took some things out of the drawer to show you a bit better. So here it goes: let’s have a peek into my make-up drawer.
A mix of NYX Eyepencils, Catrice & Essence eyeliners, one Urban Decay eyeliner in Zero and an Etude House eyebrow pencil. Nothing that interesting.
Some eyelashes that I barely use. I do love the Ardell Accent Lashes – gift from Suzy. Reminds me that I need to buy a new one. The rest are lashes from eBay, some individual lashes from a local drugstore and some lashes from Etude House.
Random stuff at the back of the drawer – Sephora setting sprays + primers, back-up from Skin 79 BB-Cream and my brush cleanser.
Two palettes that I bought when they were trendy. I think I’ve used them three times or so… Oops!
Stila Lipglazes. LOVE! I try to not open them all up at once, which is why most of them are still in the packaging. On the right you have a small peek into my palettes. Better pic will follow!
A few single eyeshadows – mostly Essence, Catrice and MUA. I don’t really use them all that much, I prefer using palettes.
Some lipglosses & lipsticks. It hasn’t changed all that much since I did the Lipstick Tag.
I barely use blush (I’m not good at applying it) so this isn’t that interesting. There’s some NYX, Sleek (Rose Gold & Pan Tao), Etude House, Sephora, Catrice, NYC, ELF, Bourjois and that’s it, I think.
Primer from Urban Decay & Etude House, eyebases from NYX and Catrice, eyeliners from Essence, Catrice and Make-Up Studio and eyelash primer from Etude House.
My BB Creams – Missha Perfect Cover #13 & #21, Missha BB Balm, Missha Vita BB Cream, Skin 79 and Innisfree. Sorry for the bad pic btw.
Regular foundations, including VOV Watershot Foundation (still my favourite).
Primers.
I tried to clean the Jemma Kidd packaging but that didn’t work. SORRY if it looks dirty! The bigger case is the Iced Gold Dewy Radiance Cream, the smaller one is the concealer. On the far left is the Skinfood concealer and the other one is by Essence.
Lastly, here are my palettes.
That’s it! Personally, I find it a lot of make-up. I do use everything that I have, but I’m trying to buy less make-up now because I don’t want it to be laying around if I don’t use it anyway.
As you can see, it’s mostly drugstore or Etude House. I do want to try out higher brands (such as MAC and more from Urban Decay), but I will have to travel to get to a store and I don’t always have time. I know you can order both online but I want to look at it first before buying it. It’s a lot more expensive than drugstore make-up and I don’t want to make any bad purchases. One of the things I want to try for sure is a MAC foundation, but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea with acne prone skin. Oh well, gotta finish all my foundations first before buying a new one.
Hope you enjoyed this post! Have a good week everyone!
Gosh, you’re so organized I’m completely jealous! I think my biggest problem is I don’t have enough room for my stuff. >< Everything looks so neat and clean.. GOOD JOB! haha
Lol, thanks! It’s only a small collection though so it’s easy to organize.
Aaaah leuk om te zien!! :D And indeed, so organised ;)
OOOOOO you have a nice collection of makeup! :D
Actually I have heard that trying MAC foundation for acne prone skin isn’t great…one of my friends said that although the coverage was great it just made her bad acne even worse… she switched to bobbi brown because it let her skin breathe more. Personally I’ve never tried MAC foundations either because I also heard that before and I am also prone to acne breakouts
My own collection is very much a mixture of high end and drugstore products. It used to be almost all high-end, but since joining the blogosphere I have learnt of so many wonderful drug-store products (particularly Asian ones) that I am reluctant to part with so much money for high-end products that aren’t as good…. xD
Ah thanks! It small but enough.
I keep hearing that about MAC foundations but somehow I want to try for myself… I want to try Bobbi Brown too though. I think I have an obsession with foundations.
Sometimes drugstore products are of amazing quality – it surprises me sometimes. I love Asian brand! I love to try more higher end brands, but like you say, you pay a lot more money when you can also find some that’s equally amazing for a cheaper price.
