I’m not really a lipstick fan because I feel like they sometimes make me look older then I look (and I hate that, but to be honest who doesn’t?) I rather wear lipgloss or just some lipcream. But when I saw these lipsticks on the Yves Rocher website, I thought the colours were really pretty and for only €4 they were worth a try. I got the colours Rose innocent and Corail givré.
I like the packaging, simple but cute. Nothing else worth mentioning. Well besides not having the name of the colour on the packaging, it only has the number on the bottom. I like to know what lip colour I’m using and luckily for these products, I got the names from the order receipt. ;)
The colour comes off quite easily so you won’t need to apply much in order to see some colour on your lips. Both have little sparkles in them. The colour is buildable, but because I don’t like having dark lips, I just use one coat and it is fine. The colour doesn’t last that long though. After a few drinks and it is gone.
It feels moisturizing and it did not dry out my lips like some lipsticks can. According to the ingredients it has Vitamin E and nutmeg oil.
What I didn’t like is that it has a weird taste. I know you don’t ‘eat’ lipstick but I sometimes run my tongue over my lips and when wearing this lipstick, I have a weird taste in my mouth. I also don’t really like the smell of the lipsticks. It has perfume in it and it smells kind of chemically.
Repurchase?
Since I don’t use lipstick much, I would say no. I do like both lipsticks and I do use them frequently, but not enough to repurchase any time soon.
